England's Golf Coast has hosted some of the most prestigious UK golf events and championships. In total it has hosted 28 Open Championships, 6 Ryder Cups, numerous Walker Cups, Curtis Cups, Amateur Championships, Ladies Opens, Ladies Amateurs, PGA events... the list goes on!

2006 saw the return of the Open Championship to the Royal Liverpool Golf Club. This was the 11th time the club hosted what is arguably the greatest golf tournament in the world.

The Open Championship will return to the Golf Coast in 2008 at Royal Birkdale Golf Club. This will be the 9th time that Royal Birkdale has hosted this event. For more information visit www.opengolf.com

The Ricoh Women's British Open 2010

The 2010 Ricoh Women's British Open is set to be another fantastic tournament.

Take the opportunity to watch the world's best women players showcasing their talents when the Championship gets under way at the famous links course on the 29th July.

Along with the superb viewing platforms at The Royal Birkdale Golf Club, spectators will find the perfect opportunity to relax and savour the atmosphere when not out on the course; the Championship Village will host a number of exhibition and retail units, interactive activities, and public catering facilities for the whole family to enjoy.
