How would you describe the course?

Formby Ladies Golf Club is an immensely enjoyable and challenging test for golfers of any level. It is primarily a links course, but as it is situated amongst the pine trees and sand dunes, you could mistake it for being otherwise.

What advice would you give to someone coming to play Formby Ladies for the first time?

Accuracy has to be your number one concern as the fairways are some of the tightest I have played and although the purple heather looks lovely, it loves nothing more than feeding on your golf balls!! This more than compensates for the low yardage on the scorecard which makes this course the number one example to demonstrate the importance of course management!

What have been your favourite moments on the golf course?

In my busy first year, playing time has been restricted quite a lot. So really I would have to say that my favourite moments have been actually experiencing the course in all its beauty and learning the many ways to play it.

What is your favourite part of the job?

I really enjoy meeting visitors and members' guests. Also being able to offer a wide selection of ladies clothing/ equipment at competitive prices.
