History
Founded in 1907 by Jack Morris, nephew of the pioneering Old Tom Morris, Caldy was designed in 1930 by five-times Open Champion James Braid as a glorious 18-hole links, with breathtaking views over the River Dee. Caldy has enjoyed a significant investment over recent years, with many of the tees and greens brought up to USGA standards. Caldy Golf Club has also been a keen supporter of Ladies' golf and the Caldy Classic competition played a role in the development of the WPGA European Tour. Dale Reid and Laura Davies went on to enjoy success on tour having won the Caldy Classic.
