'Sands of Dee', 409 yards , Par 4

Like most Caldy holes, the Par 4 3rd plays differently depending on the whims of the wind. It's a right-hand dogleg that places additional demands on the tee-shot with out of bounds running down the left edge of the fairway. Any tee shot below 200 yards will leave the green obscured and be endangered by a small pond to the right. The ideal is around 250 yards to the top of a fairway mound, leaving a second of some 155 yards to a small green guarded by bunkers and another pond.
