What advice would you give someone playing at Royal Liverpool for the first time?
Royal Liverpool is a classic links course which requires carefully positioned tee shots. Should you stray, then deep, revetted bunkers wait for your ball. A standard sand wedge of 56 degrees might not have enough loft, so you would be well advised to bring a lob wedge - or stay out of the bunkers!
What has been your favourite moment out on the course?
My favourite moment has yet to come. To watch the opening tee shot of the Open Championship after an absence of 39 years will be very special.
Who would be your partners in your ideal four-ball?
I'd choose Freddie Couples and Jack Nicklaus. I'd also invite Rannulph Fiennes (the intrepid British explorer and marathon runner), and Richard Branson (the creator of the Virgin brand). I'd also want my dad to caddie.
