The Chester Experience
Chester, a heritage City, surrounded by Roman walls is the perfect mix of history and contemporary; from the medieval Rows - a two tired timber framed shopping area - to modern shopping centres; from the Cathedral which has stood in the City for centuries to modern eateries and bars. The cities amphitheatre is undergoing the largest archaeological dig in Britain. Take a guided tour with our very own Roman Gladiators, unravelling the mysteries of the awesome arena.
An ideal location for a short break, in a truly perfect English City; architecture, great shopping, fascinating guides, and centuries of history are all to be found here in the black and white city of Chester.
