Five 3-4* graded apartments including one 2 bedroom ground floor apartment and the spacious 2 bedroom garden apartment. Very close to the promenade, Lord Street with it's many prestigious shops, restaurants', wine bars and bistros, Hesketh Park, The Floral Hall and conference centre, splash world and the Marine Lake. Golfers can find the Municipal golf course at the end of Avondale Road, there are five very good courses within easy reach. Barford house offers guests 3-4* quality apartments, beautifully set within an elegant detached Victorian house. There are 5 self contained 1 & 2 bedroom apartments within the house, which is situated in a quiet leafy residential area. The apartments offer guests the highest standards of cleanliness, and are fully equipped with television, digi box, dvd player, stereo, high quality bedding, towels and furnishings. All apartments have been recently decorated. Guests can be assured of a luxurious atmosphere with real character. Amenities and facilities in the apartments are extensive and include kitchens with ample cutlery, crockery, glassware, toaster, kettle, microwave, hob & oven, fridge, dishwasher in some plus a washing machine in the garden apartment, iron, ironing board and hair dryer. Beds are king size, double or twin on request. Bathrooms have bath with shower overhead, sink and toilet, Apartment 5 has a separate large shower. There is a pay phone situated in the hallway. The house is fully heated and we are open throughout the year. Barford house offers off road parking for four cars to the front of the property. The fire authority has awarded a Gold Sleep Safe certificate for fire detection and sprinkler system. FOR THE PLEASURE OF ALL OUR GUESTS WE OPERATE A STRICT NO SMOKING POLICY. We aim to attract conference members, Golfers, OAP’S & families. For those guests that are less able bodied we offer the use of a wheel chair Free Of Charge which must be booked, we can provide a plastic seat for bathing at the sink and a chair with arms which sits over the toilet. For families we offer a travel cot, high chair and bed guard for small children. All apartments offer a selection of children’s DVD’s. We go that extra mile for our guests travelling from abroad. We can book you a taxi pickup from the airport with a very reliable firm we use and pick you up some essentials for breakfast so you can have a lye in. Just ask when booking! We offer all our guests a warm friendly welcome so whether for business or pleasure you have found a relaxed and tranquil place to stay, with friends who really care. ** Sorry no Hen or Stag parties taken **

Road Directions

Take M58 to Ormskirk, follow A570 to Southport. At town centre, turn right at the T junction onto Lord Street. At the roundabout turn left into Leicester Street and Avondale Road is 2nd on the right. The house is over the next junction on the left. From Liverpool John Lennon Airport: Follow signs for M57, at end of motorway follow signs to Ormskirk then as above.

Public Transport Directions

Southport train station proceed to Lord street turn left at the roundabout into Leicester Street and Avondale Road is 2nd on the right. The house is over the next junction on the left.
